A group of young people in Colombia who did not comply with the quarantine rules ended up in a confrontation with police, this time with a fatal outcome.

Yesterday a policeman lost his life after a quarrel took place between two police patrol units and a group of 4 young people. After the uniformed men grabbed their attention for consuming hallucinogens in the midst of the quarantine period and in public a quarrel and pulling started between them.

While trying to control them, one of the young men took out a dagger. Then a red-shirted person approaches and hits the helmet of one of the police officers. In response, his partner took out his weapon and fired at the ground.

The situation became increasingly difficult to control, as the shooting continued by the police officer and one of the men got wounded in the leg.

Then more struggle ensued and during that, they manage to snatch the weapon of the policeman and generate a shot at the height of the head of one of the uniformed men.

The governor, sent the deceased policeman's family a hug of solidarity and also wanted the Police “to recognize their bravery and the efficient work that was done in the persecution and capture of all those involved.

A capture that has been made and is already in the hands of the judicial authorities so that it is they who determine what this person's sentence should be, ”he said.

With the help of the community, the policeman was taken to a hospital in the municipality where he died due to the severity of his injuries. The four people implicated in the deadly assault on the soldiers were captured.
