He was almost certainly in shock. And with that kind of trauma, his back could have been severed halfway down, allowing him to move his arms but not feel the pain in his (lack of?) pelvis area. But I blame shock more than anything.

I can't stand it that no one goes up and holds his hand or cradles his head or something. I have an overwhelming urge to reach through the computer screen and squeeze his hand. I'm always surprised by the lack of intervention in this kind of situation. I wonder if women would be any more likely to go up and try to comfort him. I wonder.

It's as though his brain has shut off the nerves below his chest because he reacts as though he's still together. Heavy trauma will put you in shock and adrenaline will kick in but to react without any pain as he does is unbelievable until you see it!  |

I'm hunter and when lower extremities don't work they don't feel pain because nerves are all shot. Prolly in shock too. What gets me is Samurai cut their stomachs and die from some kinda artery in the torso they bleed out from. This guy isn't . Luck or something. Bad luck then luck.
