I just watched an episode of the old Mission Impossible series that used "San Cristóbal" as the name of one the fictitious countries--they always made up the countries. Things like: Bondorfia, Guacamala. Even Russia wasn't called Russia, it was just "Behind The Iron Curtain".
The San Cristóbal episode sticks out though because it was the first one with Leonard Nimoy in it. Plus the only episode with this pretty excellent looking girl in it.

I'm gonna weigh in here with what should have happened. The cop definitely should have kicked the guy, but you can't blame the dead guy's friends for getting mad that the cop killed their drinking buddy. Those guys should have killed the cop, stabbing him over and over until he looked like the tail end of a video by Dr. Thrumpkinz. Then more cops should have come and killed those guys, spraying them with the veracity of a gang of Brazilian favela gutter offspring with waaaaay too many machine gun bullets. Then the neighborhood totally falls apart, everyone killing everyone until one of Assad's missiles (lovingly made by Russia and China in a secret tech-sharing arrangement) flies into the neighborhood, destroying everything.
