it probably was a couple of kids sent by the gang. the reason for that many posthumous shots is to send a message to those who see it. several rounds of shotgun wounds like that are gonna be messy and are intended on horrifying to the community and they dont want anyone else encroaching on their business apparently.

Nope, a pro would have done it as close as possible. True, these are amateurs, but the closer the better. Sniped from miles away is too risky. Anyone can attempt that, you don't need to hire a hitman

alot of stupid people think hitmen get rich and are all slick and wear suits and have guns with laser sights like in the movies in reality theyre usually lowlife morons trying to impress a girl or their buddies/associates and usually get paid inbetween 500 and 10,000 dollars with the average of getting away with one or two before going to prison . the major exception being richard kuklinski the mob hitman that killed aprox 200 people and lived very well
