Confrontation Between Civilians and Members of Michoacana Family Leaves 14 Dead
Mexico, A group of community residents shot back at a commando from the criminal group who was trying to extort them. At least 14 people have died, four received gunshot wounds and two remain missing. Of the deceased, 11 allegedly belonged to a cell of La Familia Michoacana; the other three were residents of the community. The local press speaks of a conflict over land rights, a common practice of organized crime, which extorts business or land owners to pay a kind of illegal tax in exchange for being able to carry out their activities. According to the first indications, the shooting occurred after a failed negotiation, as the criminal command tried to increase payments and the workers revolted against the increase. Civilians/farmers met with the criminals on Friday morning to try to resolve the situation, but the meeting led to a confrontation with shooting and stabbing that left 14 dead. The civilians were farmers extorted into paying a tax for each square meter of planting. The Michoacana Family has become strong in Tierra Caliente and every so often it returns to the front pages of the newspapers with some new evidence of extreme aggressiveness. For more than a decade, the criminal group has remained entrenched in the region, despite the greater strength of other rival groups such as the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Despite persecution by the authorities, who occasionally catch one of its leaders, the organization survives and prospers: some signs indicate expansion beyond its borders. |

It’s nice to see people fed up with the shit and fight back. And most of them did it without guns. Awesome! |

Good for them. 11-3 is a damn good ratio for a group of farmers. If everyone in Mexico would do this, then they'd be set.

The next thing to do would be to collect and distribute their weapons and ammunition so each farmer is much better armed. No more machetes against AK-47s. Next time they ask for payment, make the payment, but have someone put a tracker on their vehicle. Find out where they are based, and some night, pay them a visit and wipe them all out. But make sure you force them to open the safe, so you can distribute the money as well. Burn the drugs. And cut all of them into little pieces and scatter them down the road in both directions. Torture them until they tell you which cops are dirty. Then burn down the house. Get ID's from every body, so you know who you were dealing with. Also collect any computers, and all the drug guys phones, and call everyone on their phone lists and tell them if you ever see them, you will hang them upside down and burn them, and then come to their houses and burn their families as well. You don't even have to really know who they are. They won't know who YOU are, and they will get the message. They might also be told that effective immediately, they better bring $1000 for each guy killed, or, again, you will go after their families. Tell them to drop the cash at a particular road sign, leave, and NEVER look back. Or a plan to that effect. |
