I used to work with this guy we called Captain America, who was a naturalized citizen from Bangladesh, who is also a Sunni Muslim. The reason why he got this nickname stemmed from his criticism of myself and another coworker of mine if he thought we were overly critical of U.S. foreign policy. Although I do not personally know any muslim Americans who died in warfare, I would be hard pressed to believe no one of the muslim faith met such a fate. Anyway, that's just my two cents, the situation will get handled one way or the other.

Reacting on emotion is what the expectation the media has from the public. You already understand all this so I won't go preaching to the choir. However, consciously making the choice to seperate yourself from the propaganda isn't always that easy, especially when your friends, family, and coworkers are caught up in the frenzy. Also, everywhere you look, some unscrupulous and intrusive media source is shoving that shit in your face with unsolicited bullshit on the web. I admit that I sometimes find myself wasting an inordinate amount of time on matters such as race relations. This mind controlling shit is everywhere man, and sanctuaries from it are a dying breed...it seems.

True. A very difficult situation to be in. A basic human emotion in most of us is revenge when we see people killed. And bloodshed unfortunately almost always equals more bloodshed in this sort of situation. There's too many corrupt people at the top. They don't care about the civilians, as long as they're safe.
