Company Executive Bodyguard Inside Parked Car Shoots 1 of 2 Armed Robbers
A bodyguard of a Mexican company executive opened fire from inside his parked vehicle in front of a hotel at two armed assailants, fatally shooting one of them. The executive was not inside or near the vehicle during the shooting.

Love the pistol whipping  Looks like security dude has a .38 revolver which is about what I would expect for a legally registered gun in Mexico. Perp's gun isn't familiar, probably not sold in the states. Looks like .35 caliber and straight blowback so I'm guessing some kind of South American .380 loosely based on a vintage Beretta. |

The only thing I could think of would be that he was trying to 'preserve the crime scene'. Maybe it's to show that the guy was an armed attacker?

Perp's gun is locked open-likely empty in the pictures so he may have ran it empty or had a misfeed but more likely someone took the gun and cleared it then posed it with the body which appears to be much more acceptable in latin America vs the "don't touch anything" CSI routine in the states.
