Community Leader Shot Dead Inside Rio De Janeiro Restaurant
Community leader M.S.d.S., 30, was shot dead in a restaurant in Jacarepaguá, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. M. had just finished paying his bill when the criminals invaded the restaurant and killed him. Police are working on the theory that M.'s death may have been related to his community work in the Gardênia Azul neighborhood, which has been plagued by drug trafficking disputes between rival militia. Unconfirmed reports state that M.'s execution was ordered by the head of the militia of the neighboring Rio das Padras area. |
