Re: Columbus Police Shoot & Kill Black Teenage Girl Ma'Khia Bryant
I would have felt uncomfortable watching that young girl trying to stab another young girl in the neck too.

Re: Columbus Police Shoot & Kill Black Teenage Girl Ma'Khia Bryant
From 2017 to March 2021.... 90.43% had a weapon of some kind. Hard to see if unarmed people were attacking police when they were shot. During that time: 4,262 people shot dead by police 3,854 had a weapon of some kind 408 were unarmed or unknown if they had a weapon. I posted my source below. It doesn't show the percentage but I took the numbers, averaged them out and did the math. I grouped "unknown & unarmed" together... they are fairly specific for weapons... and have an "other" category. But if it's "unknown" then it seems a weapon was never found. USA police are train to kill any body who's "threatening" regardless with or without weapon, only aim and fire on their chest and fire as many round as you can until you confirm they are down on the ground and never fire warning shot or shot on their legs or hands to disable them. Based on so many video I have seen.

Re: Columbus Police Shoot & Kill Black Teenage Girl Ma'Khia Bryant
Okay, nuff ragging on the vulnerable kids. These are foster kids at an unsupervised home. These kids are vulnerable to all kinds of stuff, in addition to already being dealt a pretty shitty card from the deck of life. They are still developing likely with very little support in their lives. Years ago for work I was at a drop in center for kids like this - a day center for them to go, if they couldn't go to a home of their own. Toward closing we had to wait to leave b/c a rival gang or rival group of kids were outside looking for a fight with one of the kids inside. The situation was deescalated by the fact that the kids were in a safe supervised environment. The issue is not the cops or the kids but the violence - the potential violence against these kids from all over (cops included - bad and/or racist cops that is, as well as their peers, family members, etc.). Enough making fun of the girl. If everyone can get their heads around the problem - preventing violence against our kids, we wouldn't have this political tug of war that just winds up getting more poor kids killed.
