Colombian Woman Was Killed After Stepping on a Mine
In a rural area of La Playa de Belén, North Santander Department, a woman lost her life and her partner was injured when they stepped on a mine whilst walking along a road, searching for a cell phone signal. The woman was identified as Leidy L.P., 38 years old. The area, which borders Venezuela, has been the scene of an ongoing period of violence between militia groups since 2018, in an extension of the war on drugs. |
