In the second part, where she is already dying and lying on the floor, if you look you can see her nipples get visibly hard, as well. I believe I read a study at one point that indicated nipple erectile tissue is based largely on the sympathetic nervous system, so it frequently engages during episodes of high stress, fear, and violence. I've noticed it many times on dead bodies here, especially females.

Just interesting food for thought about nerves and violent death, I 'spose.
