Trust me the second one was big news over here. He's one of our top players and everyone here was in a state of shock when it happended. Malarchuk was reminded of straight away, even though some of us had never heard of him or had never knew such incident occured previous.

Accidental Shooting In October of 2008, Malarchuk accidentally shot himself in the chin with a .22-caliber rifle. He was reportedly holding the rifle between his legs when it discharged.
