Cleveland Murder
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Two men were murdered on the city’s East side over the weekend. Both victims were found in the 4100 block of E. 120th St. around 6 p.m. on Oct. 25. Cleveland police were called to the area for a report of shots fired and a person down in the street. When they arrived, they found C.W., 34, of Cleveland, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid until EMS transported C.W. to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim, D.P., 28, of Cleveland, was found on the front porch of a home, also suffering from gunshot wounds. D.P. was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, detectives used the Real Time Crime Center and Automated License Plate Readers to track the suspect. Several hours after the murder, a 25-year-old man was arrested in Akron, with the help of Akron police officer and Summit County Sheriff deputies. His name has not been released. A motive has also not been released. |
