Exactly! There are a lot of double standards. I asked these questions in my sociology class. Why are blacks dominating the NFL/NBA? Almost everyone said because blacks are better at sports. Then I asked how come Whites score higher on IQ tests and standardized test like the SAT's GRE's and GMAT's? Not one person said because whites are smarter than blacks. It's just ridiculous that it's ok to put down certain groups and not the others. It's kind of reminicient of old America.

That's because IQ isn't a good way to measure intelligence. But it is good to measure how well you'll do in this corrupt system. It doesn't measure wisdom, social intelligence, creativity or musical ability. It's because generally white people make up a large part of middle/higher class than black people. And for black people in the lower class it's not often important to do well in education due to their cultural influences. Not always the case, but the majority. Basically alot of it is said to be environmental conditioning. An example of this is Asians who do really well because in most Asian cultures education is held as being very important. And we obviously still have racism in this system...your first point about people saying "black people are better at sports" is a good example. I'm always open to being wrong though  |
