Nope. Usually the ones who show any kind of resistance or fear get a much more brutal death. They’ll skin you alive and rip your organs out, for example. The guns are all for show. They’re told this many times before the execution (don’t resist, just accept it) and I’ve seen a few vids on here where the guy squirming and crying the most gets the longest and most agonizing death.

This is one area where the cartel could learn a thing from the Muslim world. That is, don't be lazy, and move the camera 'round a bit to better record the festivities. Make it more cinematic and in-your-face. Carlos Cameraman should have moved over to better capture the beheading once the victim was laying on the ground, his head pointed away from the camera.

Also, they need a new guy on knife duty, because giving up like that just reinforces the 'lazy Mexican' stereotype.

Here a short video showing an example why you don't fight. The translation gives you an idea of what happened in the full version, but I remember they take a decent sized tree branch and hit the cop dad a couple times (I want to say to his arms, they may have broken them already, I cant remember for sure though, its been a while since I've seen the full version) and then they start beheading him relatively quickly but the kid freaks out *understandably* and fights the guys, this pisses them off and instead of dispatching him like his father, they do this (that's his dad underneath him):
