A 41-year-old man, Mr. Bai, engaged in a drunken argument with a 36-year-old woman, Mrs. Zhang. The details of the argument were not disclosed, but, whilst Zhang was sitting behind the wheel of her vehicle, Bai opened the driver's door and stabbed Zhang several times with a fruit knife.

Bystanders prevented Bai from escaping, and he was taken into custody. Zhang died from her injuries in hospital.

Probably one of those cases where you’re brain dead/comatose and on life support. Like you’re not being saved, so much as they’re fighting to keep you from dying so people can say goodbye.

In many countries and jurisdictions, death can only be declared by a doctor or surgeon, That is why many cases are described as "Declared dead on arrival at hospital"(DOA) or "Died in hospital" etc.
