Re: Chinese Executions
I’m not sure if you understand Chinese or not, but if so, please take a look at the very first comment of that YouTube video. It explains how this video is very unlikely to have originated from China. And that article doesn’t prove that this video was taken in China. With that said, I will say that the environment does seem to be China. It has the propaganda posters and the clothes seem to match what I would expect to see EXCEPT for the clothing of the executioners. Why is Police written in English? |

Re: Chinese Executions
It’s not Singapore. Singapore hangs (strangles, really), and they hang a lot. I did some weapons training with their Prisons Services 6 or 8 years ago. In most US prisons, the lock shop and the armory are the same place and staff, ie the locksmiths are also the gunsmiths. In Singapore it is the same, but their smiths also maintain the execution equipment. Right next to the cabinets of weapons is a cabinet of nooses. Their noose is a sisal rope with a simple slip knot, and a a section of rubber hose (looked like common garden hose to me) slipped over the section that encircles the neck. Before and after each execution, the smiths certify the rope, and the rubber hose gets replaced each time. I don’t know if it’s true, but the lead smith told me that the reason they use a lift instead of a drop is that it is easier on the rope, and they can get decades of use out of a single rope. |

Re: Chinese Executions
I've seen this before. Maybe not on here. The one i saw was hq and i found it interesting that all the executioners uniforms had 'POLICE' on them in english. Subliminal Warfare. For the future, to be lost in translation on purpose. |
