Re: China -Woman Dies After Driving into Semi-trailer Truck
I guess this is the new reality now that EV's are becoming commonplace. EV's not only weigh significantly more, they accelerate much faster, than comparable internal combustion models. These properties means they will release more kinetic energy when they are involved in collisions. This video is a prime example of what that means. Personally, I can't ever recall a passenger vehicle broadsiding a semi and tipping it over. Sure, I've seen it happen because the truck driver swerved, but seeing it happen during this type of collision was definitely a first. Unfortunately, we also saw the implications of greater kinetic energy in New Orleans on NYE. That vehicle was a Ford Lightening. It got up to speed very quickly and did a lot of damage as a result. |

This is the sound emitted by nearby road cleaning vehicles, which is very common in China. When the cleaning vehicle is cleaning the road surface, it will play this music to remind pedestrians on the road.
