Re: China - Man Vs Steamroller

I can’t believe it’s being called a steamroller
Well, they USED to be steamrollers. Even when I was young, and they were all diesel powered, we always called them "Steamrollers".
I always wanted a "Steam Shovel" There was one (a REAL STEAM SHOVEL) used at a quarry a block away from my house when I was growing up. It sat there for a long time, as the quarry had closed long before I was born. If I had gone and asked the owner, he probably would have given it to me. I wish I had. I hope someday I find one.

Re: China - Man Vs Steamroller

Guy had a surveyors measuring wheel with him.
Possibly something to do with the roller?

Off topic for the thread but I have some pics of a steam shovel converted to gas motor in the water cooler

What are they under? I'll go look. I don't want to distract this thread.

Re: China - Man Vs Steamroller

The guy was even wearing a bright reflective vest. But hey, if you trust other people to drive safely just because you wore a bright vest, then who's really the idiot?
