Re: China: Guy Wrecked While Checking Vehicle On Roadside
This is the reason I don't like 'smart' motorways in the UK. No hard shoulder. The overhead signs show a red cross if there is a car broken down in a certain lane, but, just like in this video, it only takes a few seconds for a car to hit another one. The signs are too far apart, and not everyone looks up at them. A BBC Panorama investigation showed near misses between broken down and moving vehicles on one stretch of the M25 had risen 20-fold since the removal of the hard shoulder.

can't rely on other motorists they're alert in traffic so move your ass from the road in situations like this.

Re: China: Guy Wrecked While Checking Vehicle On Roadside
That guy working on the wall who appears to be a maintenance worker has to work with almost no separation between him and high-speed traffic with no crash barriers or trucks protecting him?! I guess when you get up into a population of billions of people everyone becomes expendable.

Re: China: Guy Wrecked While Checking Vehicle On Roadside
I agree, although It could be avoidable if people wouldn't be rushing too damn much. The guy in the video seemed to be speeding and not paying good attention ahead of him. At the end of the day it's just another damn accident. There should always be an emergency lane on the left also, cause anyone can break down at any time. Btw. Thank you KC for the multiple videos. good post! |
