Re: Child's Life Saved by Mother Who Was Hit by Car
There is NOTHING this mother did that I would classify as "saving her childs life". Afterall, if she hadn't walked her child infront of a moving vehicle without looking, she wouldn't have needed to push her child out of the way in the first place.

No. Anytime you walk on a street without making sure it is clear, you are taking unnecessary risks. THat would mean it is your own fault. The driver of the car broke the law by not stopping at a crosswalk, but that has nothing to do with the moron that decided to close her eyes and walk with her child in to the street. Afterall, the driver would have only drove through AIR if the moron had used her eyes.

Re: Child's Life Saved by Mother Who Was Hit by Car
I am so glad that the UK hammered drivers back in the 50's and 60's to the point it is second nature to almost every driver to slow at crossing points and stop if someone is waiting or still on the road. Its amazing what a hefty fine and 3 points out of your available 12 put on your licence for failing to stop when someone is waiting/on the carriageway whether they are in the line of travel of your car or not |

You can see she is on a pedestrian crossing but isn't paying attention until impact. The lady that was hit obviously didn't realize that she wasn't going to stop. How sad. |
