Assuming the man is guilty, which I hope he is: I do understand the vengeance. What I can never understand is the giggling celebratory nature of the lynching. It should be sad and serious, at best, if it needs to be done. The giggling is so outside my realm of understanding, that I feel these people are maybe a different species.
