To the person saying it’s a hate crime. In reality, all violent crimes could be considered as Hate crimes. I imagine when someone is killing another person, they are acting with hate.

Anyway. It turns into a hate crime if the killer, for example, uses racial slurs/talks about being superior/uses other slurs re sexuality, etc. There has to be proof of the killer hating the victims race/sexual identity.

So these people could have been fighting about other things, like being cut off or some personal beef they have...
