In a tragic turn of events, 30-year-old Chicago rapper T, known by his stage name “THF TP,” has been identified as the male who lost his life in a fatal shooting last night near the intersection of Madison and Long. As the community mourns the loss of this talented artist, the circumstances surrounding his untimely death raise questions about the ongoing challenges faced by individuals in Chicago’s music scene. On the night of Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, at approximately 6:41 pm, the Chicago Police swiftly responded to a Shot Spotter alert and distress calls reporting a person shot at the intersection of Madison & Long. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered T, the 30-year-old Chicago rapper known as “THF TP,” lying on the ground, having sustained 7 gunshot wounds to the torso. Urgently, he was transported to Loyola Hospital, where medical efforts proved futile, and he was pronounced dead. According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), T. was standing on the sidewalk, holding a poster board, when an unidentified vehicle pulled up. An assailant exited the vehicle and indiscriminately fired multiple shots at him before hastily fleeing the scene.
