To quote that man on scene, "This is what happens when you go to the Vera Lounge" no, this is what happens when you live in a city with a corrupt leaders who have convinced the city that the Police are the enemy and then cuts the city police budget and watch 60% of the police force quit or take early retirement. This is what happens when you fully support the felons and let them out early because they are misjudged because of their color or race. This is what happens.....and I can go on and on. But really, who's fault is this?? Move!! If I lived there, I wouldn't stay!!!! I left L.A Ca with a bus ticket and a suitcase!! Why? Because there was a plague of killers in that fucking city!! Remember 'The Hillside Strangler?' I walked right past the upholstery shop that the one worked out of, every day!! People were being raped and murdered right next to me and I was afraid to go to the store!!! I moved!! I bought a bus ticket to tumbleweed piss tree up north!! I got away from it!!!!! MOVE!

Sounds like a pretty ignorant take to me. Not everyone wants (or is able) to simply pack up and move to a new location. Not to mention law enforcement arguably wreak just as much havoc with little to no punishment at all.

On the good side though, it’s good to have some USA videos here to show that it is just as much of a crapshoot as its southern neighbors.

OK so, the girl who got shot in the head was hosting a party at the Vera lounge owned by her Uncle, she's a Vera also. The murderer was at the party and there was an argument and he punched the girl so he got thrown out. The guy came around the corner and ran up on him was the girl's father. He ran up after he found out the murderer had punched his daughter. Father was hit twice, once in the head and once in the chest. That's why she went to tend to him completely oblivious to the gunshots, it was her father. Then the murderer shot her in the head (the same girl he punched earlier and reason he got kicked out) but she lived somehow but is currently in critical condition with skull fragments lodged in her brain. The father died, the guy by the lamppost died, and the one he shot after he ran to get in the car, she died as well. A mother of 3 including 2 infant twins.

The killer had recently been paroled after shooting and murdering two others in a home invasion. Thanks to Chicago politics, he plea bargained a double homicide into "armed home invasion" and was back on the streets armed with illegally obtained weapons for about 6 weeks until this.

Maybe this time Lightfoot can get him off with Disturbing the Peace and Jaywalking so that he can be out in time for the St Patricks day parties.
