In Mexico, you pay to keep your relatives in the ground at a lot of cemeteries. No rent = body comes back out of the ground. When I was a kid, I toured Mexico with my parents, and we stopped at a museum that had caskets with the lids removed on display. It cost like 10 cents to go in, and we went through it. It was all people who couldn't pay the grave rental. One way or the other, they will make money off you. |

I didn't tongue kiss them! I just stared at them like a stupid little gringo. My Mom was a nurse, and she didn't seem too concerned. (Although it could be that by that stage of the trip, she was hoping all of us kids would get typhus, little shits that we were.)
