Chechen Police Station Overrun by Militants
At about five minutes in I felt like the video was reminiscent of the beginning on the Dagestan Massacre video. And they've got what, a dozen or so soldiers and policemen hostage in that raid?  |

Not necessarily, the captives are Chechens by the look of it, the rebels can ransom them back to their families and finance their war effort. It's a small country, so you kill someone word gets around, it starts a blood feud, you owe the dead man 100 goats, really backwards shit. There's also videos of captured RUSSIANS being given the option to convert to Islam and join the Chechens and save their own lives, AND THEY DO!  It's also a big country for weddings-by-kidnap, like Borat does with Pamela Anderson. All in all, it ranks up there with six flags great adventure in the fun department and ironically risk-to-self department... I wear Kevlar to the Six Flags near me ...  |
