Re: Ceres Shootings - Suicide By Cop
Truly unfortunate that all had to happen. Sadly with his shootings skills from the Corp, an SKS battle rifle, and the element of surprise, the officers had little chance. You can see his lack of fear of returning fire and the typical aggressive shooting movement (forward and lateral) typical of Marines. Some really scary stuff.

Re: Ceres Shootings - Suicide By Cop
i went to school with the shooter sad story, he was a member of the armed forces and just couldnt leave the streets behind doesnt excuse his actions, but its sad nonetheless he also didnt commit suicide, he ran out of ammo i think, and was found running down a dark alley, didnt respond to commands to stop or drop the gun and was shot by officers |

Re: Ceres Shootings - Suicide By Cop
thats because he was face down in someones backyard with his weapon on the ground in front of him when he was shot seventeen times by ceres police. he was a vetren who fought for his country and we failed to fight for him when he came back he needed medical help not another trip to iraq. im from modesto this is the most corupt town in the nation when it comes to the police department . gang or no gang he was a decorated vet and deserved much better then what he got. im sure the cop did to but im not talking about him . im talking about a US soilder who put his life on the line for al of us including that cop that died.

Re: Ceres Shootings - Suicide By Cop
I'm from Ceres. The city actually went and renovated an overpass to dedicate it to the cop that was killed, and a lot of people still have the memorial stickers on their cars. When the shooting happened I was in high school, and most everyone I talked with, teachers included, trusted that it wasn't gang related, but simply P.T.S.D. taking over. If he did have gang ties, they weren't a factor in this event - the commonly held belief is that he refused to be redeployed. The only ones who seem to argue are the cops. |
