I think they intentionally dull the blades. I cannot understand how a knife blade - even a WalMart blade would have such a hard time with human skin. They guy sawed for 10 or 12 times before any blood hit the ground. That's a spoon in my book. Fuckin assholes.

i guess they want to do it slow and painful cause if you really think about it for more then 5 min and have half a brain ( they might not) you'd realize starting from the back with the knife pre-aimed between the bone would do the job in just 1 swipe

Compared to most chops I think he got off a little better than most we see his blade appeared to be sharp enough at the start to end things for old dude quickly...not sure why he decided to spank him with it before the nice twist but I can almost guarantee that the deceased didn’t give many fucks
