1.All guns are always loaded. 2.Never point a gun at anything you are unwilling to destroy. 3.Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire. 4.Know your target. 5.Keep your gun at the minimum level of readiness. |

That's actually a good point...as a firearms instructor the 1st rule is weapons are always pointed downrange. It's a common mistake for new shooters to turn around with the gun in their hand sweeping others with the muzzle and all of the instructors I know will jump your ass if you do that.

The video where the little girl shot the instructor....the instructor was an idiot. Never, ever give a kid a full auto weapon. And, why wasn't he standing behind the girl instead of off to the side? |
