It's easy to sit her on these forums and run your mouth about what people should be doing. Unfortunately we don't work that way in real life. Most people are in shock, or having adrenaline rush just witnessing such carnage. As an ex-firefighter I've seen my fair share of brutal accidents. The people that were usually willing to comfort the mangled bodies on the scene were often current or former hospital/medical workers. So they seeing someone bent an unnatural way, face half gone, and missing a limb wasn't unfamiliar to them.

It's a pretty helpless feeling for a lot of these folks in this video. Obviously they want to be able to do something, but they're faced with the harsh reality that they don't have any means to do anything. But yeah, go head and act like you'd be Johnny-On-The-Spot.

I totally get what you are saying. I agree with some of it...but, that was a teenage GIRL, not an adult, laying in the road by herself. Surely, one adult amongst them has children and can relate to the onset of pain and fear. Yes, there are others present, but helping the adult. The humanity factor does not disappear regardless of race...Empathy and touch are decidedly helpful for someone about to go into shock...There were people there helping the teenager later in the vid. The problem was, they all had their backs to her and the one guy takes a good stare at her, says GD and FUCKING WALKS AWAY! What the actual fuck?

I did a bit of snooping, a family member has posted that the 17 year old writhing around being ignored is alive, awake, suffered NO broken bones although has a lot of recovery ahead of her she is talking and moving.
