HANOVER, Jamaica - Two men died in a car crash in Hanover Tuesday afternoon.

They have been identified as 24-year-old Mr. McLeod and Mr. Harvey, both of Lookout, Hopewell in the parish.

Information obtained are that about 3:30 pm, a silver Toyota Altis car, driven by McLeod, was heading towards Hopewell, when on reaching the Kenilworth main road, he reportedly lost control of the car. It veered across the roadway and crashed into a tree on the embankment.

Both occupants are said to have died on the spot.

Slippery road conditions, as a result of rain in the area, may have caused the driver to lose control of the car.

Members of the traffic department at the Sandy Bay Police Station are investigating.
