Re: Car Suddenly Turns Right, Bumps a Bike That Slams into a Concrete Tree Surround
It's these LITTLE technical points that everyone misses! They concentrate on the massive train wreck, (or whatever - the actual event is hardly of any real importance!)and the hundreds dead, and completely miss the absolute violation of the "pavement safety-stripe rule" in their "case of the vapors" over the actual accident! Sir, you could have gotten a Free Ride at the Colombian School of Forensic Medicine and Plumbing, by understanding the critical details that lesser mortals focus on! You are indeed CORRECT! That area is marked as "STRICTLY NO PARKING, on pain of impoundment and towing" I tip my hat to you, sir, as I am POSITIVE that hapless rider would have done also, (if his head was not totally reversed on his body, and his pelvis shattered so that his butt is where his testicles should be!) And if he had been wearing a hat he could have tipped. |

Re: Car Suddenly Turns Right, Bumps a Bike That Slams into a Concrete Tree Surround
Maybe the driver did check, saw the biker, but not the biker's high speed. It could have led the driver to believe that the bike was at a safe distance and 'had plenty of time'. Thats the thing about speeding: people might see you at a glance, from a distance, a distance which closes much quicker than assumed. |
