Car Parts Business Clerk Killed by Hitman
A murder took place inside a car parts business, yesterday in downtown Guayaquil, Ecuador. A man, covered in a cap and a mask, entered the business and quickly pulled out a firearm and shot one of the clerks repeatedly before fleeing the site. Citizens moved the victim outside for transport to the Hosiptal but he died shortly after. This street is known for being the headquarters of dozens of places where accessories and vehicle parts are sold. On April 12, merchants from this sector and from the Bay protested to ask the National Government to apply stronger security measures. On that occasion, they asked to contain the robberies, kidnappings and extortions in these areas. However, crime still keeps business owners in distress. |
