Yes, this is Puerto Rico where they use surplus second grade rum as fuel. Burning Bacardi, this car could go maybe 160 mph, 180 mph is a total lie unless its downhill with a tail wind. Rum is heavily oxygenated alcohol with a high energy content, like they burn in Formula / Indy cars. Poor bastard was probably drinking the fuel and driving... |

It's Brazil, not Puerto Rico. The speedometer is showing 180 Kilometres per hour = approx. 112 Mph And the fact that the speedometers indicates 180 does NOT mean that the car was travelling at that speed: if he was pushing the throttle while the car was in flight then the wheels kept accelerating, and that's the speed that was recorded, not the actual speed of the car before/during the flight. |
