Car Door Sends Biker Under Wheels of a Truck

I do not own a car and I ride my bicycle here in the city. We have great bicycle lanes all over the city and I feel pretty safe. But I always keep an eye out because some dumb ass will open their vehicle door and I do not want to go splat or be road kill pizza.

My rural location does not allow for any safe road travels by bicycle, (exception city streets). I ride my Specialized on a cul-d-sac 15 MPH street(low low traffic volume) PPE geared up.
It is not uncommon to hear of a local fatal collision between vehicle VS bicycle in my rural area. Motorist in my local are not looking for pedestrians, motorcyclist,bicyclist on the rural traveled roads. They are expecting vehicular traffic and ignore the rest. Oblivious. And that goes for ALL OF THE ABOVE(motorist, bicyclist, pedestrians,motorcyclists).
I have seen all of the above with their head up their ass at times, including me.
