Re: A Captured Russian Soldier Is Hanged In The Shattered Streets Of Grozny
I was hoping someone could tell us that as well, I was thinking either a warning to others or his alleged crime. That's usually what a placard like that says on it. Kind of like Jesus', INRI, the most famous placard I would think. |

Re: A Captured Russian Soldier Is Hanged In The Shattered Streets Of Grozny
The letter 'J' is only about 3-400 years old, so the 'I's' are actually 'J's'. It should read 'JNRJ' which stands for 'Jesus of Nazareth, Rex of the Jews' Rex is of course the latin word for King, this was his official crime and the reason for his execution. Rome had outlawed Kings after the first era of the Roman Empire, punishable by death. The more you know! |

Grozny, is a major city in Chechnya which was almost destroyed during the second Chechen war. The rebels are Mujahideen, hence the Allahu Akbar.
