He actually is moaning but due to either the position of the microphone closer to the "butcher" or how tight that gag is (possibly he also has his mouth stuffed with material to further silence him) his cries are rather faint. Turn up the volume or use earphones. You'll hear him.  |

That's entirely possible and likely in some cases, but I've always felt its mostly due to the gang-banger mind set combined with being filmed. These guys learn early on in the business what will happen to them if they're caught by a rival gang. Dying on camera gives them a chance to go out with some dignity by not screaming and pleading like bitches. I'm not sure it matters to their former associates since the videos typically show the victim ratting on them, but do think it's part of the overall mindset behind dying for their gang. In the case of the dude missing his hands and losing his face I'm certain some kind of stimulant was used to keep him conscious. In most cases though drugs can defeat the purpose of instilling fear as a message. A dude who's sedated into compliance isn't really going to put on a good "show". |
