The murder of a candidate for federal deputy of the National Regeneration Movement party in Ecatepec in the State of Mexico, Y.M.R, shocked the entire country on February 10, when the homicide was recorded.

Realizing that their mission had been successful, the three hitmen hurriedly boarded a white vehicle and fled the scene at full speed.

The authorities reported that the events arose from a conflict between members of the Association of Microentrepreneurs and Transporters of Ecatepec headed by YMR and members of the Union of Unions and National Organizations.

In recent months, at least 15 alleged members of the Uson have been arrested in the municipality of Ecatepec for their participation in different crimes such as homicides, drug trafficking and extortion.
