Actually, it is, punching someone, not even that hard, without a weapon, doesn’t really show any intent to kill… Even the manslaughter is a stretch since she fell on the glass making it more of an accident, especially given that the decedent is the aggressor.

The one who lived is the attackee (otherwise known as ‘victim’,) the one who accidentally died after falling on a broken glass is the attacker. Once you’ve been attacked you get to keep attacking back until the one who started it withdraws or otherwise stops being a threat. In other words it’s either self defense or some trivial mutual combat charge.
