That's a piece of a mortar.. Maybe he was playing or trying to disarm unexploded ordinance and was really unlucky.. Would explain the presentation of blast type injuries  |

I don't think he was the one playing with that mortar round, we wouldn't be looking at anything above his waist line, he must have been a few yards away from the point of the explosion and got hit by shrapnel |
