Cambodian Man Who Killed Himself in His Office
On 4th December 2018 in Kandal, 57 year old V.R. committed suicide. He was the deputy director of the Immigration Department + the owner of Arey Ksat Phnom Penh ferry port. He shot himself in his head in his office. One of the man's employees, V.D., had called to the office as he needed some gasoline. Upon entering, he found his boss dead + called the police.

US dollars are widely used in Cambodia. When I was there it was a 4 to 1 exchange rate, which meant you could go to a store and pay with Cambodian money or dollars. ATMs even gave out money in US currency.

The people at the crime scene do it all the time. Usually the content of bags + wallets plus any medication.
