Well yea the woman who held his arm is mostly to blame for him not being able to cover up or push her away. Although I have spent some time in Russia the woman will surely get a murder wrap and spend the rest of her days in the Gulag hating she didn't just slap the Asshole instead. In Russia, women don't have the same true rights as men do. It's built into the culture.

It's hard to disarm someone with a knife unless you are very well trained. This is a good lesson here. If someone comes after with a knife you better run unless you have your weapon. Even then expect to get cut or stabbed. He probably thought he could overpower the smaller woman. He made a fatal mistake.

A defense plea requires equal force. If someone punches you you cant just stab them to death.
