Indeed. Thankfully I do not struggle with suicidal ideation, but if I ever get to that point I've definitely learned quite a bit from this site on what not to do: 1. Self immolation. Takes longer and is way more painful than anticipated. Everyone who does this seems to instantly wish they could choose a different route. 2. Short drop hanging/strangulation. Again, can take alot longer and people clearly got more suffering than they bargained for. 3. Ingesting caustic chemicals. Also way too slow and probably rivals immolation for unimaginable pain. 4. Poor aim with a firearm. The number of people who blow their own face off and somehow survive is decidedly counterintuitive. 5. Whatever the hell we call this one. Good god that had to suck. |

Seriously, I don't understand how that is possible as people who are shot in the head go right down and a freakin' saw is a hell of a lot more damaging. He is literally detaching almost half his brain from his head.

There's one video I saw on here a few weeks ago of a guy hanging himself and as soon as he drops you can see he immediately regrets it and tries to free himself but it's too late. |

I think you have to hit the brain stem to immediately cause death. If the brain stem is severed life is extinguished. Snipers aim for fatal T on the face.

To avoid the pain, once he was open he should have thrusted his hand in there and taken his brains out of his skull the good old way. That would have been the craziest shit. Not that it isn't already bonkers. |
