I know we're living through the ultra fancy duty apex of modernity, and advanced mindedness, complete with cybernetic 'PC' enforcing Judas Cradles blessing our every thought, but there's just something slightly unseemly, and unsettling to me about handicaps just being flung into a rings with giant angry able-bodied beefs like this.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for Para-Matadors everywhere--they're as effing inspiring as ventriloquist dummies in wheelchairs and/or comas, but at least give the little muchacho a pair of oven mitts, what's he gonna do with one of those Disney trash-bear sticks.
I wonder if this sport will be included in the Para-Olympics next year???

I love how the bull, right after he gored him, kinda playfully spins & dances around like "Anybody else wanna piece of me? Come on!!"
Videos like this make me warm & fuzzy inside. I could watch Mexicans getting gored by bulls all day long.

What was the point of the stick?
This is what happens before a bullfight. The bull is ‘prepared’ for the matador.
They get the bull run down a bunch, get all it’s energy run almost out. Can you imagine if the bulls came at the Matadors like it did at the guy sitting there!? We wouldn’t have bullfighting, nobody would do it and live!!!
The ‘stick’ is a sword. It’s that guys job to stick the bull in the large shoulder hump behind its head so the bull cannot dislodge them. This is done several times, leaving another sword in the bull. This also serves to weaken the bull before the fight, they lose quite a bit of blood.
