Re: Buddist Monk Has Brains In His Rice
I agree with you on many points, I was atheist for many years. I am not now, having experienced first hand supernatural events. I am a physicist with regards to how I view the universe, but science has also uncovered evidence that all is not what it seems. To put it briefly ; atoms behave as though they know when we are watching them, or alternatively something outside our universe knows when we are looking at an atom, and alters the behaviour of the particles accordingly. Either way, what we believe to be impossible is taking place trillions of times every second. So I have come to this conclusion... There is something more powerful, and apparently more intelligent than us involved in our lives. What it is, I do not know, but for argument's sake I call it God. I do not attend any church, nor do I have any plans to. I call myself a Christian because I believe a dude existed who had a damn good plan for how our society should operate. What he said has been misused to justify violence, which I find abhorrent. My ex gf is a Muslim and she told me the things Mohammed said ; and I will be honest, I think the guy is a dick who has bastardized the teachings of Mr. Christ, to serve his own woman-beating and paedophilic interests. If you search for God or truth, you will find it lies inside your heart, and not in a bulding or a book. Follow what you know is right. Keep an open mind. Do not hurt people or animals for pleasure. The bible warns that when the devil comes he will do so by pretending to represent God. So don't listen to the priests or the imams or the monks, listen to your own heart. Peace :) Oh and one last point, Mr. Logic - If we are going to be scientific about how we view the universe, can you offer an explanation for the bizzare results that the famous "Double-slit experiment" produces ? Because if you can, you would definitely win a Nobel Prize, and solve one of the greatest mysteries of modern physics? This is not a rebuttal, but you seem intelligent enough to consider the information I share with you here. I hope you are open minded enough to do so. |
