Re: Brutal Taliban Execution
[boring... 'They are the Pakistani police, soldiers and their supporters who recently lined up six kids in Swat and shot them execution style,' he says, jabbing his hands at the prisoners and brandishing his gun. 'These Pakistanis are now our captive and we will avenge the death of the children by doing the same to them.' Second later he and his three men raise their weapons and open fire. The policemen - around a dozen in total - topple backwards in a hail of bullets. Bloodied, they lie in the dust as their executioners continue to shoot. When the gunfire finally stops, the dusty clearing is filled with the sound of agonised groans and screams. The camera - operated by one of the insurgents - then focuses on each of the captives in turn, lingering on their bloodied tunics and faces, many mutilated beyond recognition. All wear the traditional baggy trousers and tunics of the region. Some are older men with greying hair and beards while others are barely older than teenagers. Against all the odds, a number of prisoners are still alive. But the Taliban do not leave anything to chance. One of the insurgents walks the line putting a bullet through each head. The shooting took place on June 1 but was not posted online by the Taliban until today and picked up by the website Liveleak.com. However, the video is too distressing to be run here. Pakistani army spokesman Major-General Athar Abbas said the security forces were captured during a cross-border raid by militants from Afghanistan in the northwestern Dir district on June 1. He gave no other details. Government officials at the time said up to 400 militants crossed from Afghanistan and clashed for more than 24 hours in the village of Shaltalo in Dir. Twenty-seven Pakistani forces and 45 militants were killed in clashes, the officials said. The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. Pakistan later lodged a protest with Kabul over the incident and called for stern action by Afghan and U.S.-led forces against the insurgents.
|

Re: Brutal Taliban Execution
This is another very beautiful video. What accentuates this video for me is all the clothing they were wearing. All that motionless clothing emphasizes their death. There is something visually gratifying about how all that clothing settles on their dead bodies also.
