You know, this is getting ridiculous. Now what if YOU or I heard a strange noise in the backyard late at night, went out and shot a cop that was looking for a perp "by accident" on your property  Would you do time or no These guys are clearly above the law.

yep.. something slightly related happened earlier in the year.. a guy heard a noise outside.. called the cops.. he was also carrying. the cops showed up to his house and shot him as he was looking for someone who was trying to vandalise his home. the same guy who called them in the first place. if the scenario were reversed.. for sure, that guy would be serving time.

. . . So wait you think what firing there weapons is the only way they abuse there power as cops , im sry but you my friend are a sheep . . . also it wasnt an accident the cop shot him ( most likely because he hasnt had to use his gun before ) out of fear , he thought the guy was one of the robbers rushing him look at how he takes him down after the shot with the gun still trained on the kid the whole time . . . on a side note the cop looks like hes never been in a situation like that before , hes just standing there then he looks at the guy across the street backs up draws him gun ducks down moves up a little . . .

I'm not saying that there AREN'T power-hungry cops out there. I'm sure there are more than a few! I just don't think they ALL are. In fact, I know not all are. My wife's father is a cop. My wife is a correctional officer. NEITHER is in it for the power trip. Not to mention, my original post was directed at the person who said, "fuck the police. there only there on the off chance they can kill a man and call it self defense." So I wasn't addressing all abuses of power - just the fact that they're all out there to kill people and call it self defense. |

Very tragic and absolutely unfortunate event. Simple Facts: With only one officer on the scene at the time of the crime, the officer already had weapons drawn facing the only exit. (keep in mind~ 1st responder to an armed robbery. Not knowing who is who and people running low and hard at the officer from the exit) When the second person exited the building, he charged the policeman with a drawn weapon and tackled him. If his trigger finger is on that weapon, it would almost be impossible for the officer to not discharge that weapon... There is absolutely 100% accountability for the 3 individuals that caused this scenario to become tragic..  Wishful Thinking: Should be hanged from a gallow 24 hours after the trial to cut the cost of the upkeep of incarceration of three murderers for life. |

They won't be more careful until they start getting locked up for this type of shit, accident or not. Now this isn't murder but it is reckless homicide or man slaughter. A guy in my city fired at a car jacker from his drive way as the perp fled in his car. He hit a woman and killed her as she stood in her kitchen. He was charged. The hypocrisy in this country is really beginning to make me feel like I'm living in the "old days". Ppl are gonna look back on us like we look back on those from the 30s or 40s when a black could be hung for little or no reason, if things should ever change. |

the thieves were still inside.. the 2 guys ran when they turned their backs.. the first guy didnt get shot because he put his hands up when he ran out.
