A man identified as Mauro S.d.S., 49, was stabbed to death in the neck during an argument in front of an ice cream shop on Sunday night (6).

According to preliminary information, Mauro, who was visibly intoxicated, arrived at the location to order a peach, and ended up disturbing a customer, Leandro C., who had just bought ice cream with his partner.

Leandro became angry, and the two began exchanging verbal abuse, with Mauro apparently threatening to rape Leandro's partner. Mauro left the ice cream shop, but the confrontation continued, with Mauro pulling out a pocketknife, and Leandro grabbing a knife from his pickup truck.

The situation worsened when Mauro kicked the truck. At that moment, Leandro approached Mauro and stabbed him in the neck. Paramedics pronounced Mauro dead at the scene.

A few hours later, Leandro handed himself in to the police, claiming self-defence. After making his statement, he was preliminarily released.
