I think its the adrenalin, or lack of it, Kinda like they see the guy pull up but they stupidly sit there watching almost as if they are frozen by fear or just the suddenness of it happening so quickly that they just fail to respond. Or perhaps the adrenalin hit just sticks them to the spot too scared to move. I bet someone could explain it better. maybe they just realise at that moment that they wont get away and so just do not even try to move, rooted to the spot. |
